EXISTING WILL SERVICES

When Life Changes, It May Be Time to Review Your Will.

An existing Will may need to be reviewed when personal circumstances, family arrangements, responsibilities or estate-planning intentions change.

Not every change requires an entirely new Will. For minor, clear and limited amendments, a Codicil may be appropriate.

Simple Codicil

RM250

Suitable for one simple amendment, such as:

  • Change of Executor
  • Change of Guardian
  • Address change
  • NRIC / Passport correction
  • Other simple administrative details

Standard Codicil

RM350

Suitable for:

  • Amendment of one specific gift; or
  • Amendment of one specific clause

provided the amendment does not affect the overall estate-distribution structure.

When Is a New Will More Appropriate?

A new Will may be recommended where the proposed changes affect:

  • The overall estate distribution
  • Beneficiary percentages
  • Multiple beneficiaries
  • Several Will clauses
  • Asset-by-asset distribution
  • Complex assets or business interests
  • An unclear, incomplete or unavailable previous Will
